Itinerary
Thursday July 27 : Dad, Mom, Louise & the Clogstons depart on Aer Lingus
Friday July 28 : Arrive in Shannon, check-in at The Connemara Gateway Hotel
Visit at the OConnor homestead in Aughnanure, Oughterard, Galway
Dinner at The Boat Inn
Saturday July 29 : Checkout downtown Oughterard and tour Lough Corrib
Sunday July 30 : Tour the Aughnanure Castle and do some more visiting at the OConnor homestead
Then in the evening, hit the hotel pub with all five OConnor brothers and assorted children.
Monday July 31 : Mom, Louise & Clogstons travel to Donegal, check-in self-catering houses
Tuesday August 1 : Shopping in Buncrana (with a horse!)
followed by a visit to the Coyle Family
and then a hike to the Clonmany Waterfall
Wednesday August 2 : Visit to the Famine Museum which was exceptional.
Thursday August 3 : Drive up to Malin Head, the northernmost point in Ireland
Then, visit the Grants for a playdate later.
Friday August 4 : Journey to Leisureland in Redcastle for a fun time for the kids.
The rest of the OConnor and Firth clans arrive from Galway
Saturday August 5 : Celebrate Sarah's birthday!!!
Sunday August 6 : Attended mass at the church. And visited the graves.
Clonmany Festival Events begin.
We attended the parade.
Monday August 7 : Picnic lunch at the Clonmany Waterfall
Guys golfing at the Ballyliffin Golf Club
Tuesday August 8 : Rainy day, hung out at the self-catering houses
Dinner with all at the 3 houses.
Wednesday August 9 : Attend some Clonmany Festival Events
Including a pet show and Youth Day
Drive out to the scenic Mamore Gap
Have dinner at the new Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa
Thursday August 10 : Tour Fort Dunree including climbing up 78 stairs!
Spend some time on a beach walk.
Visit with Jimmy & Kathleen and family.
Friday August 11 : Firths return to Boston
Saturday August 12 : Oconnor's & Clogstons return to Boston
